Cardiff Marathon Project - CMP
Marathon & 10Km event
Sunday 22nd October 2023
We've been considering adding a marathon to our portfolio for a while and now taken the next step to try and make it happen.

The plan is to keep it on the smaller side, we aren't looking for thousands of runners, we want to maintain our approach of back to basics, friendly runner based events. We are unfortunately going to have to put a time limit on the event of 5 hours, this is a result of the negotiations we've had with the relevant parties based around the course and HQ set up.

The cut-off times applied at the end of each lap are :
  • End of Small lap ~ 6.5 miles  =  1:15:00
  • End of 1st Large lap ~ 16.4 miles  =  3:08:00
In order to try and make the event more manageable we are looking at a course based around our 20/10 and Festive 10K routes, so it will be made up of 1 short and 2 long laps - details below.

The 10K will be the short lap of the Marathon.
